Connect to the Famous Dev Client Instructions Notes Famous does not support two different clients being installed on one computer, so the Famous Dev client cannot be accessed from the same PC that has the production Famous client installed. As a workaround, the Famous Dev client is available on a Remote Desktop Server that can be accessed by users with the appropriate permissions. Connecting Open a web browser and go to https://rds.hanlinegroup.com/rdweb/. Enter your username and password as follows and then click Sign in: For "Domain\user name," enter rshanline\LastNameFirstInitial i.e. Juan Reyes would enter rshanline\reyesj For "Password," enter your Microsoft 365 password You will be redirected to Duo. If you are connecting from inside one of the Hanline Group offices, you should automatically bypass Duo. Next, you will be taken to the "Work Resources" screen. Here, click on McLeod RDS. A remote desktop shortcut will download, which you should see in the Downloads menu in the top-right corner of Google Chrome. Click to open the remote desktop shortcut Note: After clicking McLeod RDS, you can also find the downloaded file by going to your Downloads folder. You can reuse this file in the future instead of downloading it each time. After opening the downloaded shortcut, you will be asked if you trust the publisher. You can click to check the option Don't ask me again for remote connections from this publisher and then click Connect. Enter your username and password again. Once again, enter your username like rshanline\reyesj and your Microsoft 365 password. Click OK. The Remote Desktop Connection will attempt to connect. Once again, it will check for Duo, but if you are in a Hanline Group office, it should bypass Duo automatically. However, if it gets stuck or fails, then it might be trying to send you a Duo prompt before it can complete the connection After signing-in, it will begin connecting. On your PC, it will now say Securing remote connection… right before connecting Finally, you will be connected to the McLeod RDS server, where you can open the "Famous Client Dev" shortcut. Disconnecting To disconnect from the RDS, do not click the X button on the blue/gray bar. Instead, click the Windows Start Menu and then click your name and click Sign out.
